JOB SUMMARY
This position reports to the Manager of Land Administration.  The Division Order Manager is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to individuals who are involved in the Division Order function in the Land Administration Department
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage interactions with other departments within the company, including but not limited to, the Business Units and Accounting.
  • Manage the acquisition, research and analysis of real property documents and title opinions to determine ownership.
  • Coordinate with Revenue and JIB Accounting on all royalty owner and working interest owner matters.
  • Manage the Address Book system within P2 Land, which is comprised of new party number creations and approvals, EFT/banking information setup and updates, and change of address requests for Land Administration, the Business Units and Accounting.
  • Respond to high level owner/partner inquiries to resolve any issues with regards to verification and explanation of interests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Advises on proper procedures and business practices regarding suspense and escheat accounts based on various state guidelines and regulations.
  • Responsible for coordinating and providing requested samples for internal and external audit to ensure the integrity of internal processes and procedures.
  • Evaluate and execute recommendations in the monthly E-calendar, such as cash-in-lieu provisions and shut-in royalties.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Extensive experience with a land management software system, preferably Tobin Land System or P2 Land.
  • Highly knowledgeable with regards to complex lease and title issues, preferably in the Permian Basin, Anadarko Basin and the Marcellus Shale.
  • Must be familiar with various State (OK, TX, NM & PA), Federal and BLM regulations and associated websites (OCC, TRR, etc.).
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office required, with emphasis on Excel and Word.
  • Must be goal oriented, approaching multiple/concurrent deadlines with a sense of urgency and drive.
  • Must be a team player who possesses the ability to adapt to new technologies, workflows and processes.
  • Ability to adapt and work within various peripheral and analytical software applications, such as Microsoft Dynamics, Hyland OnBase, ThoughtTrace and Spotfire.
  • Ability to manage team members in a professional manner.
